He dedicado casi 40 años a producir noticias de radio y televisión para los residentes hispanohablantes del Valle del Pájaro. Durante tres décadas, trabajé como periodista y director de noticias en Costa Central de California KSMS Canal 67 Univision.
Me gusta el periodismo porque es una forma de conectar con la comunidad. Siento una gran satisfacción cuando por medio del periodismo ayuda uno a tanta gente en su diario vivir. Me gusta mucho Watsonville porque aquí vive mucha gente de Araró, Michoacán, el pueblo de donde yo soy originario.
Dirijo la división de noticias en español de Santa Cruz Local como reportero de noticias de audio / gerente de producto para Noticias Watsonville. Mi objetivo es ofrecer noticias de alta calidad, justas y precisas que se centren en las necesidades y prioridades de los residentes hispanohablantes del Valle del Pájaro.
Vivo en Salinas con mi esposa Patty. En mis ratos libres soy un fanático acérrimo de las Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara. Gozo cuando están bien y sufro cuando andan por la calle de la amargura.

I have spent nearly 40 years producing radio and television news for the Spanish-speaking residents of the Pajaro Valley. For three decades, I worked as a journalist and news director at California’s Central Coast KSMS Channel 67 Univision.
I like journalism because it is a way to connect with the community. I feel great satisfaction when journalism helps people in their daily lives. I like Watsonville very much because many residents here are from my hometown of Araró, Michoacán.
I manage Santa Cruz Local’s Spanish-language news division as an audio news reporter/product manager for Watsonville News. My goal is to provide high-quality, fair and accurate news that focuses on the needs and priorities of Spanish-speaking residents of the Pajaro Valley.
I live in Salinas with my wife, Patty. In my spare time, I am a diehard fan of Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara. I enjoy it when they are doing well and I suffer when they are in trouble.
