The site was formerly home to Outdoor World, at the corner of River and Lindberg streets.
Status
- The Santa Cruz Zoning Administrator approved the project on Jan. 17, 2024. At the meeting, several neighbors said they were concerned that residents would take up scarce street parking. If the project is appealed, it would be considered by the Santa Cruz Planning Commission.
- A community meeting with developers and city planners was held Nov. 13, 2023, to discuss the project, answer questions and gather feedback. The developer owns the building and submitted plans to the city Oct. 6, 2023.

- Total units: 51.
- Affordable units: 38 very-low-income units, 12 low-income units, and one manager’s unit.
- Height: Six stories, 71 feet.
- Details: The proposal includes 1,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. No vehicle parking is planned for the development.
