Individual Giving Manager
Cosme Lobato Dondiego is Santa Cruz Local’s Individual Giving Manager. Born and raised in Watsonville, he grew up in a working-class family and understands the importance of community institutions that help people stay connected and engaged.
Previously, Cosme worked in nonprofit fundraising, helping secure resources for programs that expanded educational and career opportunities for young people. Through that work, he discovered a passion for building relationships and connecting people with causes they care about.
At Santa Cruz Local, Cosme works with readers, members and donors who believe local news matters. He enjoys hearing people’s stories, learning what issues are important to them, and helping build the community support that makes independent local journalism possible.
Cosme is proud to be part of an organization that engages Watsonville residents in civic life and pushes local government leaders on their priorities.
