Many young people feel disconnected from the news or feel that they aren’t represented. As Santa Cruz Local’s Visual Journalist, I work to build trust and participation among Gen Z residents across Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. I want young people to feel like their voices are heard. Most of my reporting is on Instagram, since that’s where young people are.
I am a Report for America Corps Member and a Catchlight Local Fellow. Previously, I’ve freelanced and interned at newsrooms including KQED, Mother Jones, San Francisco Chronicle and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
